George Jones has announced plans for a final run of shows, called The Grand Tour, visiting 60 cities in 2013.

The trek takes its name from the title of one of Jones' classic hits. He's expected to perform that and other legendary songs like "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and "White Lightning" on the trek.

Jones has been touring for more than 50 years and says in a press release that it's now time to spend more time with his wife Nancy and their family.

"It is tough to stop doing what I love, but the time has come," he said.

Jones battled an upper respiratory infection earlier this year while going public with a feud with his daughter, Georgette Lennon, his only child with singer Tammy Wynette.

Jones posted a video on his website, apologizing to his fans for his daughter and her new husband, Jamie Lennon, for "putting so much bad things about me on the Internet and Facebook."

"None of these things are true. They are all about money," he said.

"I have gave and gave till I can no longer give. I will never let her go hungry, but I am tired of putting out, and I am not the person they claim I am," said Jones.

His daughter, who performs as a country singer under the name Georgette Jones, denied ever making any negative statements about her dad or selling stories to the tabloids.

"I have NEVER and never will talk trash anywhere about my Dad and can easily prove that," she wrote on a group fan page on Facebook, adding that she was "completely devastated." "I love my Dad very much and would never hurt him."

Lennon explained in a long post that the feud began two years ago over a "personal issue" she declined to name, but it involved someone spreading lies about her to her father and his wife Nancy.

Now that he's back in good health, George Jones has returned to the road with a full tour schedule this year. Dates for The Grand Tour will be announced at a later date.

Jones also plans to record a new album soon, and Dolly Parton is among those contributing songs for the project. A release date hasn't been announced for the album.
