2009 President Obama Makes First Statement on Underwear Bomber

 

After the foiled Christmas underwear bomber plot, President Obama spoke about counter-terrorism and air travel safety.  On Christmas day, 23-year-old suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab tried to ignite explosives hidden in his underwear as Northwest Flight 253 went in for landing in Detroit.
