Man Steals Salvador Dali Painting Worth $150,000

Police are looking for a man who swiped a $150,000 Salvador Dali painting from a Manhattan art gallery.

Police say the man walked into the Venus Over Manhattan gallery on Tuesday, posing as a customer. The thief removed the 1949 ink painting from the wall, put it in his bag and fled out the door. He was wearing a black- and-white checkered shirt and jeans.

The stolen painting is titled "Cartel des Don Juan Tenorio."

Dali, a prominent Spanish Surrealist painter, is often remembered for an eccentric personality and his mustache. He was portrayed by Robert Pattinson in the 2008 film "Little Ashes."
