Disney and ABC will donate $1 million to help provide nutritious meals to hungry Americans this holiday season.

The donation will benefit Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity.

The effort - part of ABC's Season of Service campaign - aims to provide fruit and vegetables for food pantries, afterschool programs and soup kitchen in communities across the country. The goal is to provide 40 million pounds of produce to those in need.

Disney-ABC will provide $750,000 in cash.

The public is invited to do its part by contributing to help a hungry family. For every donation made to Feeding America in November, Disney will match the gift dollar for dollar, up to $250,000.
