One dad in Tulsa, Okla., really wanted to give his daughter a Christmas to remember.

"I'm a husband and father of a beautiful 6-year-old girl named Ashley that I would do anything for," Jay Perkins, 49, wrote to GoodMorningAmerica.com.

So not only did he continue his annual holiday tradition of adorning his front lawn with an elaborate Christmas light display, but Perkins, a software engineer, also synced up the light display with one of Ashley's favorite songs, Ylvis' "The Fox."

Every year since 2005, he begins setting up the light show on Nov. 1 so it's up and running by Thanksgiving.

"I always try and have it running on Thanksgiving Day so that families in the neighborhood that have visiting family can have their kids enjoy the show before they have to leave," Perkins explained.

Setting up the actual yard display takes about three weeks. But the most difficult part of the entire synchronized light show is the electronics of it all, adding new controllers and setting it to the music.

And although last year's light show, which he set to Psy's "Gangnam Style" was a roaring success, he says this year's definitely takes the cake as his favorite.

"This year has been the best because my daughter has been really involved," he explained. "I'll go to her and say, 'What do you think about this?' Nothing beats that father-daughter bonding. It's so cute."

He hopes families that take the time to view his light display enjoy bonding time with one another as much as he has with Ashley.

"It boils down to the time you have with your children," said Perkins. "I have all LED lights, so it really illuminates the street, and you can see the children's faces very clearly. You can see the kiddos looking out the side window of their car and they are just, both parent and child, so happy."
