PRESIDENT OBAMA: The New York Times’ Helene Cooper: “ Obama Says Facts Support Accusation of Iranian Plot” President Obama vowed on Thursday to push for what he called the “toughest sanctions” against Iran, saying that the United States had strong evidence that Iranian officials were complicit in an alleged plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the United States. USA Today’s Fredreka Schouten and Martha Moore: “ Obama raised $70M during the summer, outpaces GOP rivals” President Obama overcame low poll numbers to collect $42.8 million in the July-to-September fundraising quarter, racing ahead of his Republican rivals who must marshal their resources for a fast-changing primary calendar. OCCUPY WALL STREET PROTESTS: The Washington Post’s Peter Wallsten: “ Occupy Wall Street protests reveal liberal tensions” The Occupy Wall Street protests spreading across the country are mobilizing liberal activists who have been largely sidelined in the national debate since helping to elect President Obama three years ago. GOP: ABC News’ Gregory Simmons: “ As Cain Catches Fire, He and 9-9-9 Plan Take Heat” The surge is on – and this time, it’s Herman Cain.   Since his stunning victory in the Florida straw poll three weeks ago, the former chief executive of Godfather’s Pizza has captured the attention of the Republican Party, his opponents and yes, even his opponents’ wives. The Washington Times’ Luke Rosiak: “ GOP group to raise unlimited cash to keep House majority” A collection of former high-ranking Republicans will launch a group that will raise and spend unlimited amounts of money in a bid to retain the party’s majority in the House, they announced Thursday. The formation of the Congressional Leadership Fund solidifies the movement of the new type of loosely regulated committee from outside operators to establishment tools. LINK

The Los Angeles Times’ Alana Semuels: “ What would Herman Cain’s ’9-9-9' tax plan really do?” Presidential candidate Herman Cain has made a splash with his “9-9-9? tax plan, which drew the focus of much of this week’s Republican debate on the strength of its catchy simplicity. LINK

Boston Globe’s Matt Viser: “ Huntsman says he’ll boycott Nevada Unless it changes date to satisfy N.H.” Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman, who has increasingly staked his candidacy on New Hampshire, said this morning that he will boycott the Nevada caucuses unless the state moves its voting date out of the Granite State’s way. JOBS: The Hill’s Russell Berman and Erik Wasson: “ Boehner confronts Obama on claim that GOP has no jobs plan” House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) challenged President Obama in a phone call over the president’s assertions that he has not yet seen the Republican jobs plan, the Speaker’s office said. The Wall Street Journal’s Janet Hook and Carol Lee: “ Obama, Boehner Chat About Jobs Measure” President Barack Obama called House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) on Thursday to congratulate him on one of their rare bipartisan ventures – passage of three free-trade agreements. LINK

ABORTION: Politico’s Kate Nocera: “ House passes bill to block funding for abortions” The House approved an anti-abortion bill Thursday that takes aim at the health insurance subsidies in President Barack Obama’s health care law — and gives both parties another chance to rally their bases over yet another abortion fight.
