The Presidential Planner: Obama Launches Three-Day Fundraising Tour

President Obama will kick off his three-day western fundraising tour in Nevada today, where he will call on Congress to pass portions of his jobs bill and argue “we can’t wait.” In between fundraisers today, the president is expected to announce new measures to make it easier for homeowners to refinance their mortgages to avert foreclosure.

The move is part of a new push by the White House to pressure Congress to pass the American Jobs Act by highlighting actions that the administration can take without help from Republicans in Congress. Using the new slogan “we can’t wait,” the president will announce the new initiative at an event in Nevada, one of the states hit hardest by the housing crisis.

The president will travel to Los Angeles, Calif., later this evening for two additional fundraisers.
