Feb. 12, 2012— -- Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, seems to be taking her mother's death the hardest.

Beverly Hills Police told ABC News that an ambulance was called this morning to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Bobbi Kristina was staying with her mother, in response to a concern about her health. The 18-year-old was said to be suffering from anxiety.

According to a press release sent to ABC News, Bobbi Kristina was transported from the hotel at 10:26 a.m. local time to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and was "awake and alert" at the time.

A family source told ABCNews.com that she was being "treated for stress and anxiety." She has since been released.

By Sunday afternoon, TMZ was reporting that Brown was skipping his concert in Nashville to fly to Los Angeles to be with his daughter.

"It's going to be very hard for her," Ian Drew, senior editor of Us Weekly, told ABCNews.com.

In the hours after her mother was discovered not breathing in the bathtub of a Beverly Hilton Hotel room, Bobbi Kristina was reportedly turned away from seeing her.

Earlier, TMZ reported that Bobbi Kristina got into a shouting match with police officers outside her mother's fourth floor hotel room when they informed her no one was allowed in. TMZ said she "screamed, cursed and demanded to see her mother" before ultimately leaving.

Houston's cousin Dionne Warwick was also turned away by officers, according to TMZ.

But Bobbi Kristina was more than just close to her mother; she became her caretaker as the six-time Grammy winner struggled with addiction.

"Bobbi Kristina basically grew up her mother's caretaker, similar to Frances Bean," Drew said, comparing her to the daughter of singers Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain.

"In a way she was the adult in relationship," Drew said.

Houston finally divorced Brown, 43, in 2007 and entered rehab last spring.

Afterward, she seemed to be making up for lost time with Bobbi Kristina, who, like her mother, was an aspiring singer and actress -- apparently with her own impressive voice.

Mother and daughter had begun working together on songs in the recording studio, according to Us Weekly.

"She idolized Whitney," a source told the magazine, and "wanted to be just like her mother."

One way she was unlike her mother: She didn't do drugs.

After The National Enquirer published photographs last May that appeared to show the 18-year-old snorting cocaine, her father Bobby Brown told ABC News Now, "I don't know anything about that. My daughter, she doesn't, she doesn't do that."

Bobbi Kristina also defended herself on Twitter a day after the photos came out, saying she was "set up" by a money-hungry ex-boyfriend because of "a horrible relationship that went sour."

"It's really not what it looks like," she wrote.
