"Late Night" just added a former "SNL" great to its lineup in addition to host Seth Meyers.

Fred Armisen is going to lead the late night program's band. In fact, he's going to be leading his own unit, the 8G Band, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"Here's the first photo of the new @LateNightSeth band! #8GBand," Meyer's tweeted Monday right next to a pic of Armisen's band.

He tweeted again, saying "Fred will curate and lead the band, and continue to run it even when he's off shooting 'Portlandia.'"

Armisen left "Saturday Night Live" at the end of last season and his show "Portlandia" is about to start its fourth season on IFC.
