Fusion's interim President Beau Ferrari sent the following note to staff announcing new additions to the team:
I am delighted to introduce you to the new Fusion sales team. Mark Olsen, Noreen Iqbal, Jay Williams and Jose Castaneda have outstanding relationships in the advertising industry and valuable experience in both television and digital sales. They’ll continue to report to Geri Wang, President, ABC Sales, and Catherine Sullivan, Senior Vice President, ABC News Sales, who have been incredible supporters and advocates for Fusion from the beginning.
Let me tell you about the team.
Mark Olsen is the new Vice President for Fusion Sales.
For the last 13 years he has been part of the ABC Sales team, working successfully across SOAPNet, Daytime, Latenight, News and Primetime.
Mark has been instrumental in executing multi-platform, integrated deals for numerous clients on behalf of ABC, from auto and telecommunications companies to major entertainment and retail brands. He is passionate about the business and proven to be a strategic thinker dedicated to collaborating with marketers.
Mark led one of the first ever car integrations in a daytime soap and helped kickoff GM’s sponsorship of the Pontiac Music Stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! He oversaw a major exclusive Verizon sponsorship for the 2008 Presidential Election and worked on integrations for huge brands including Audi, Subway, AT&T, Macy’s, Paramount and VW, among others.
Mark started his career at BBDO, the global advertising agency powerhouse based in New York. He was a Network TV Buyer for major accounts, including GE, Frito Lay, Dell, U.S. Navy, Gillette and Wrigley.
Noreen Iqbal is the Director, Fusion Planning and Pricing.
Noreen has had extensive experience with ABC and SOAPnet, working in both Sales and Pricing & Planning over the last 10 years. She has been incredibly successful at increasing revenue for the company as well as securing integrated marketing deals for clients in a wide range of categories, from technology and retail to packaged goods.
She brought new advertisers to ABC in latenight and daytime, including Movado, Jackson Hewitt and Tre Milano. She is an expert in custom advertising integrations, creating new opportunities for Nestle Ocean Spray on The Chew and for Wal-Mart and Mars Halloween candy on The View. Plus she oversaw terrific sponsorships with Microsoft and Samsung for Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Jay Williams is the Account Executive for Fusion Sales. Jay has developed deep relationships with important advertising agencies and been an integral part of the team executing ABC Unified, the network’s strategy to give advertisers one-stop-shopping for every screen, from on air to online.
Jay was most recently an Associate Account Executive for Primetime at ABC. Jay helped managed sales for Jimmy Kimmel Live! And he worked closely with major advertising agencies like Mediavest, Mindshare and Starcom that represent major brands like Sprint, P&G, Wal-Mart, Samsung, Unilever and Mars.
