Last year's auction of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor's private jewelry collection had no shortage of buyers. Pictured above is Taylor's antique diamond tiara, given to her by her third husband Mike Todd. Valued between $60,000 and $80,000, the tiara sold for more than $4.2 million at a December, 2011 Christie's auction.
This 33-carat diamond ring was once a signature piece of jewelry for Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor wore the ring, a gift from then-husband Richard Burton, every day. The ring was auctioned off by Christie's in December, 2011 for $8.8 million. The final auction price set a world record for price per carat for a colorless diamond, according to Christie's.
