— -- Just when you thought you’d missed the deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, along comes Green Monday, a made-up shopping holiday based on data showing that the second Monday in December is the third-largest online shopping day of the year.

With hundreds of millions of retail dollars in play, retailers will compete for your business. As a result, they spur each other to discount items and woo shoppers to their sites.

This week also marks the last full week where sites will offer free shipping on items guaranteed to make it in time for Christmas.

Here Are Some of the Best Green Monday Deals Available:

Levis, the Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic are all offering 40 percent off their entire sites.

Coach is offering 30 to 50 percent off many items on its site.

Target has tons of discounts on clothing, including 30 to 50 percent off pajamas.

Amazon is offering 40 percent or more off giftable toys, including:
WowWee R.E.V. AIR Toy
Ever After High 2-in-1 Castle Playset

Also from Amazon, the Philips Norelco Electric Shaver 8900, Wet & Dry Edition S8950/91, is on sale at $89.95.

Bohm Wireless Bluetooth Headphones With Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Technology (gold/tan) deal price: $63.49

Walmart is selling the popular FujiFilm Instax camera starting at $42.99.

Best Buy is selling the Sony Bravia 65-inch TV for only $999.

Buy or Wait?

While many people are trying to find discounts on gifts for the holidays, others wonder if Green Monday provides enough of a savings opportunity to purchase general items not needed for Christmas. Benjamin Glaser, the features editor with DealNews.com, told ABC News the following strategies for saving money:

Buy now

Tools: We're seeing tons of deals from Sears, Home Depot, Amazon and others. Sears is offering 100 percent back in Shop Your Way Rewards points -- so you'll double your spending power, Glaser told ABC News.

Jewelry: These high-end items are always expensive, but there are better deals this month than in January or February. Right now, Walmart has a crystal pendant for just $9. And consider pearl jewelry, which this month is available as little as $15 for a 17-inch strand necklace, Glaser said.

Wait

Christmas decorations: If you're already planning for next year, Christmas decorations like lawn inflatables will see their best prices on Dec. 26 and after, according to Glaser.

Fitness equipment: Sporting goods and big-box stores will compete for all the shoppers making fitness-related New Year's resolutions by discounting barbells, treadmills and activewear.
