— -- Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine was sugar-bombed Wednesday night in West Hollywood when he was on the set of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to perform his new song "Sugar."

At around 8 p.m., Levine, 36, was signing autographs for fans when someone threw a bag of powdered sugar at him. The man, Navid Farsi, 28, was also the same individual who threw a rock at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last week and was arrested, LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado, a spokeswoman, told ABC News.

Farsi covered Levine and four others in sugar, and was arrested on suspicion of battery. He is being held on $100,000 bail, police add.

In one fan video, posted by US Weekly, the fans react in concern for the singer, one fan screaming , "Oh my God!"

Levine handled the strange prank like a pro and walked away from the scene after taking off his sugar-covered sweater. He was noticeably annoyed.

A rep for the show also sent a statement to ABC News, reading, "Immediately after the incident occurred, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' security followed protocol and alerted LAPD, who responded quickly and are looking into the situation."
