Get to Know 'American Idol's' Scotty McCreery, Pia Toscano

GMA's Lara Spencer talked to season 10 Idol winner Scotty McCreery and finalist Pia Toscano after their performance -- and got the inside scoop on life on the "Idol" tour bus and much more.

The "Idols" are currently on the American Idol Live Tour, which wraps up in September. So what's life been like on the road with so many of their competitors?

"We have a girl's bus and a guy's bus, so us girls are so exhausted by the end of the show ... we just go to sleep," Toscano said.

"The guys, we stay up late," McCreery quipped. "We're jamming in the back and playing pranks on each other.

"We all get along really well," Toscano added.

quicklist: 2title: McCreery Loves Elvistext: Growing up, McCreery, who was born and raised in North Carolina, did impersonations of music legend Elvis Presley. "I was the Elvis fanatic when everyone else was into N'Sync and Backstreet Boys … so I was the weird kid back in elementary and middle school," he said.

McCreery grew up singing in church choirs and began guitar lessons at age 10. At 13, his voice changed and dropped to the famous deep tone that made him "Idol." At 17, McCreery became the youngest male winner in the show's history.media:

quicklist: 3title: What's Next?text: Both McCreery and Toscano have big plans for the future. McCreery's debut album, "Clear as Day," comes out Oct. 4. His single "I Love You This Big" earned the highest debut for a new artist's first single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart since 1990.

"We didn't expect it to do as well as it did on radio … so that was a really humbling experience … and it was really cool to see that," he told Spencer.

Pia recently released her debut music video for the single "This Time" and she will release a new album this fall.

"Down the line I would love to act sometime … but I just think I am going to stick with music right now," she said.
