— -- He may not have found a lasting romance with Andi Dorfman, but next season on "The Bachelor," Chris Soules is hoping to find his true love.

"I believe in the process. I believe in what I went through on the previous show and that's why I'm doing it," he said this morning on "Good Morning America." "Coming from a small town, I'd never really expected to have this opportunity to be on either show, let alone be the lead on 'The Bachelor,' so it's been awesome. I'm humbled, flattered, grateful."

For those who aren't familiar with Soules, a farmer from Iowa, here's a quick cheat sheet, gleaned from reports, his time on "The Bachelorette," and his ABC bio, to prep you for next season.

Chris Soules Appears on 'Good Morning America'

Name: Chris Soules

Hometown: Lamont, Iowa

Hobbies: A farmer by trade, Soules enjoy reading about the industry, as well as Forbes. He also loves camping, country music, and sports. When asked about his favorite movies, he named "Rudy," and he also said the one person he'd most like to meet for lunch would be Jim Harbaugh, head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. "He has such passion for the game that I love as well," Soules said. "He has had so much success in the most competitive leagues in the world. Anyone with that kind of ability to win could share some great insights."

His Dream Woman: On his "Bachelorette" profile, Soules described his type as "slender, athletic, beautiful" and "funny, smart." He added that he loves when a date "can hold an amazing conversation."

His Dating Style: Soules was one of the most romantic suitors on Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette." Not only did he write her secret admirer love letters, but he also had "Chris Loves Andi" printed on a flag and flown across the sky.

His Future Aspirations: Soules has no intention of abandoning his life on the farm, and is looking for a woman who would embrace a rural lifestyle. She'd also need to want to have a family, as the reality TV star would like to have four to six kids.

His History with Bachelor Nation: A sweet Midwestern guy by all accounts, many former "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" contestants were rooting for him to get the nod, including Dorfman and her new fiancé, Josh Murray. "Josh and I are both rooting for Chris. I mean, he is a genuine guy, and I think you've seen the whole time... what a class act he is," Dorfman told reporters last month. "We're definitely on team Chris for Bachelor."
