Adele was the big winner today at the Brit Awards, the U.K.’s equivalent of the Grammys.
The "Hello" singer took home four trophies -- British Female Solo Artist, British Single, Album of the Year and the Global Success Award.
James Bay, who had four nominations, snagged only one: the British Male Solo Artist award. Coldplay took home the prize for British Group, while One Direction nabbed British Artist Video of the Year and Justin Bieber won the International Male Solo Artist award.
David Bowie was honored with the Icon Award, and Lorde performed a tribute to the late rock icon, singing his 1971 classic “Life on Mars.”
Adele also performed her new single “When We Were Young.”
Other performers included Bieber, Bay, Coldplay, Jess Glynne, The Weeknd, Little Mix, and Rihanna, who sang “Work” with special guest Drake.
