Last year, Zumyah Thorpe endured a horrific tragedy when she suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident, which also resulted in the death of her pregnant mother and two of her sisters.
A drunk driver had run a red light and crashed into Thorpe's car.
On Saturday, this brave girl got to meet one of her idols and a man, whose music has helped her through the healing process.
While in the hospital, according to the video played at a Bruno Mars concert in Cleveland this past weekend, Thorpe, 11, listened to Mars' "When I Was Your Man," her favorite song, each night.
The video adds that an inspired Thorpe began walking -- and even to sing the words from some of Mars' songs. One of the therapists at Thorpe's hospital are now convinced the singer's music helped the little girl recover.
This past weekend, Thorpe got to meet Mars in Cleveland and was even serenaded by the Grammy winner.
Mars, 28, asked Thorpe to take a bow and he dedicated "Just the Way You Are" to her to end his show.
Make sure to check it out, it's pretty amazing. Try not to tear up around the 4-minute mark.
He also posted a picture of the two of them together, saying "Zumyah tonight you gave my band and I something we've never felt before. you're an inspiration to the world! #WeLoveYouZumyah"
