Dec. 17, 2012 — -- intro: David Beckham's son Romeo is following in his famous dad's footsteps, and we're not talking about the soccer field.

Romeo, who turns 11 in January, is the star of Burberry's Spring/Summer 2013 ad campaign. Rocking a kids' trench coat and a big grin, he looks like a natural in front of the camera. Fashion might be in his genes -- soccer star David Beckham has modeled for H&M and Armani, and Romeo's mom Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, has a high-end clothing line.

Victoria Beckham has known about her son's passion for posing for some time. In a 2010 radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, she said Romeo "loves fashion. He likes to go out in a suit with a bowler hat. ... He's a real fashion lover."

Romeo is the first of the four Beckham kids to pursue an interest in fashion, but judging by little Harper's cameo at fashion week in September, he might soon be joined by one of his siblings.

Check out seven more star kids who are taking off on their parents' claims to fame:

quicklist: 1title: Connor Cruisetext: With Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman as parents, one would think Connor Cruise would follow in their footsteps to become an award-winning actor.

But Cruise has music in his future. The 17-year-old deejayed on "Live with Kelly and Michael" in November, playing music for the audience and the hosts during breaks and admitting he usually doesn't wake up so early.

"Thank you @KellyandMichael! What a great show with such great people!!" Cruise tweeted along with a photo of himself with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan after the show.

Cruise has been traveling the country spinning tunes as a DJ. Over the summer, he provided the music for an American Eagle Outfitters campaign in Times Square and also spun at a Comic-Con party in San Diego. His alias: DJ C-Squared. media: 17701815

quicklist: 2title: Rob Kardasiantext: Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashiain's baby brother, Rob, the only son of the late Robert Kardashian, O.J. Simpson's lawyer, wants to follow in his father's footsteps and head to law school.

"Going to law school very soon and so excited and can't wait!" the reality star tweeted in August.

After graduating from USC with a degree in business entrepreneurship in May 2009, Kardashian, 25, failed to find a solid career path, which triggered criticism from sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe. In 2010, he helped his famous sisters launch their skincare line, PerfectSkin, and in 2011 he became the face of Rivalspot, a video gaming website. He tried music management in early 2011 when he co-managed the all-girl group, the BG5, which never managed to take off. He also said he was launching his own line of socks.

Robert Kardashian famously led O.J. Simpson's defense team to a not guilty verdict in the murder trial of Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown. media: 16955480

quicklist: 3title: Chester Hankstext: Tom Hanks' son is following the actor's path to stardom, though he's taking a decidedly different route. He's changed his name, and he's rapping.

Chester Hanks, known by the stage name Chet Haze, has slowly been building a rapping career. First, he put out "White and Purple," an ode to his alma mater, Northwestern University. He made the music video "I Do It Better," in which he throws some sunglasses and gold bracelets on and an Ivy League-ish suit and spits such semi-rhymes as "'We hit the floor, you turn it up, we turn it out, we lose control." He also canoodles with a brunette who may or may not have been ripped from the set of "Jersey Shore."
