— -- His appearance may have been short, but Charlie Sheen's role on "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" in 1986 was iconic.

As Ferris' sister Jeanie waited in the principal's office, Sheen was waiting too. The two hit it off and the rest is history.

Now, ABC's "The Goldbergs" is bringing that character back for the 2015 season.

"Inspired by 'Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,' Barry fakes sick and attempts to create an epic day of his own which soon turns out to be a disaster," a rep for the network told ABC news about the episode.

The statement continued, "To salvage what’s left of it, Pops and Adam join Barry on his day off but they make it worse. When Erica rats out her brothers to their mom, Beverly steals a van at her new place of work to catch Barry in the act."

The pics are amazing and show Sheen, 49, still waiting in the office in his leather jacket, smoking a cigarette.

"The Goldbergs" comes back to ABC in 2015, Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. EST.
