Jan. 15, 2015— -- Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is slowly peeling back the layers.
Four years after giving up her poof, the reality TV personality and mom of two ditched her famous hair extensions. What's more, she shortened her own locks and darkened them for a dramatic new "make-under" that shows off her natural beauty.
Snooki documented the steps to her new look on Instagram before posting the big reveal.
"Say goodbye to this hair cause mommys getting a makeover," the "Snooki & JWOWW" star wrote alongside a selfie posing in her bathroom.
"NEW YEAR - new me," she captioned a before snap, sitting in the salon chair in front of her team of hairdressers.
Finally, it was time for the big reveal:
"I went back to dark & short," she wrote, alongside a photo of her hair falling across her face.
"LOVING this. So much easier to maintain and my kids won't have anything to hang off of anymore," she captioned the final selfie.
