First 'Daredevil' Season 2 Trailer Features Battle With Punisher
"I think you are a coward," Punisher says to Daredevil.
— -- Looks like there's a new vigilante in town.
In the first full-length trailer for the second season of Netflix's "Daredevil," Matt Murdock faces off against the antihero you know and love as Frank Castle, a.k.a. Punisher.
The 2-minute, 34-second clip starts with some brief history from the comic books: that Castle's family was killed in some horrific manner, most likely due to crime. Now, he spends his days hunting gang members and putting them down. That kind of violence doesn't sit well with our fearless hero, who believes in fighting crime, not killing bad guys.
"Hell's Kitchen is about to explode," an officer tells Murdock in the action-packed trailer.
Meanwhile, Deborah Ann Woll's character Karen Page speculates that "maybe we created him," while Murdock insists "there's no connection."
"We never stopped to think Daredevil's actions could open the door for men like this," she says.
Then, we be get a brief taste of a face-off between Castle and Murdock.
"You hit them and they get back up, I hit them and they stay down," Punisher tells Daredevil. "I think you are a half measure. I think you are a man who can't finish the job. I think you are a coward."
He adds: "You know you're one bad day away from being me."
The trailer concludes by introducing Elektra, Murdock's former flame and an assassin herself.
"Hello Matthew," she says. Check out the full video below:
