Emma Stone Calls Andrew Garfield a Poet
"Of course my heart swells up," she said of hearing him gush over her.
— -- Andrew Garfield can act and, apparently, he has a way with words, too.
Indeed, Emma Stone called him a "Wordsworth."
"He is such a poet," she told Interview magazine after a compliment he once gave her was read back to her. "But that's the way he writes in general. So I hear it and of, course, my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis."
(For those who haven't seen, Garfield told Vogue in 2012, "Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides. From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be.")
Stone, 26, and Garfield, 31, who co-starred in the 2012 film, "The Amazing Spider-Man" in 2012, were first linked in 2011. They moved in together and adopted a dog shortly after that, but reportedly split earlier this year. Neither party has confirmed the breakup, however.
Stone, who has always been fairly low key about her personal life, said during an appearance on "Good Morning America" last year that she loved Garfield.
"He's obviously one of the greatest actors I think we have alive today, and he's also just a remarkable human being," she said. "I love him very much."
