Exclusive: Go Behind the Scenes of 'The Lion Guard'

— -- "The Lion Guard" premieres later this month on the Disney Channel, and with the saga continuing for Simba and his youngest cub Kion, ABC News takes you behind the scenes of the making of this upcoming TV movie.

Director Howy Parkins says the characters' performances must obey the rules of mother nature. With this in mind, get a look at how the artists and consultants from Disney's Animal Kingdom helped the network expand on "The Lion King" franchise.

The cartoon will look so real because the movements are based on real lions.

If that's not enough, the movie plans to add more Swahili like Twende Kiboko to the classic Hakuna Matata. Also, get a look at clips featuring fan-favorite Rafiki, among others.

"The Lion Guard" airs on Nov. 22 on the Disney Channel.
