Gabrielle Union: Dwyane Wade Is a Groomzilla

Feb. 21, 2014 -- By now everyone knows that Dwyane Wade knows how to pick a pretty amazing engagement ring.
Now, according to his fiancee, Gabrielle Union, it seems the NBA star is using that expertise when it comes to wedding planning.

"This is, like, his princess moment," Union told Ellen DeGeneres. "He's waited for this for a long time. He's been hoarding bridal magazines. He's very ready."
Union, who stars in the BET series "Being Mary Jane," said that Wade has been vocal about "every aspect" of their nuptials, including "aspects I didn't even know went into wedding planning."
"He is on it," she said. "To have a centerpiece? Not to have a centerpiece? He doesn't [want one]. Who cares?! He does."

However, the actress said that the couple's nine-year age difference (she's older) has caused a few issues.
"I want the O'Jays to play at our wedding. He wants Young Jeezy," she said. "I'm like, 'Oooh, Patti LaBelle!' He's like, 'Ariana Grande!' It's night and day."
Another issue with their age difference? Union's inability to stay up late. The actress said that Wade gets upset when she falls asleep before he does, and sometimes forgets to kiss him goodnight.
"That's one of the disadvantages of dating an older gal. We drift off," she said. "You don't wake up an old sleeping gal. You know that saying, 'Let sleeping dogs lie?' Let old sleeping broads lie!"
