Kit Harington on Jon Snow's 'Game of Thrones' Season 6
Spoilers -- HUGE news from last night and the star speaks out.
— -- Okay, there is a huge spoiler ahead, so if you haven't seen the latest "Game of Thrones," maybe it's time for you to check out another story.
Or at least read the recap first!
Last chance!
So, in the final moments of Sunday's episode, Melisandre tried to revive Jon Snow using her special brand of magic. At first, it seemed like she couldn't do it, so she walked out of the room, everyone with their heads down as it seemed Snow was gone for good. BUT, after Snow's direwolf Ghost awoke from his sleep, so did Snow, gasping out loud. Yep, he's alive!
If you've followed "Thrones," you now know Kit Harington, the actor who plays Snow, is a big, handsome liar! He said all off-season that he was dead and gone forever.
He spoke to Entertainment Weekly with a message for his fans.
“Sorry!” he said in the EW video. "I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone."
He continued, "I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing -- or the show is doing -- is right.”
In fact, Harington added to EW that this season will be Snow's biggest yet.
"It’s a massive season for him, it’s the biggest season for him so far, he features very prominently this season," he said. "I was told that when I was told I was coming back -- that the season I was coming back for would be my biggest, and that’s quite a lot to take as well.”
EW's cover also explains that it was a two-year plan to kill Snow and then bring him back to life.
