— -- Jennifer Lawrence's new photo in Vanity Fair isn't just unusual because she's nude. She also has a surprising co-star: a Colombian red-tailed boa constrictor.

The racy photo was shot last summer, Vanity Fair reports, "in homage to the 1981 Richard Avedon Vogue portrait of Nastassja Kinski."

The Oscar-winning actress was "brave and nonchalant" while the snake was wrapped around her, according to Vanity Fair, and she "only became uncomfortable when the snake took a fancy to her neck."

The picture will be in Vanity Fair's March 2015 issue.

This photo is just the latest news keeping the 24-year-old in the spotlight. Lawrence starred in two of last year's biggest blockbusters, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past," putting her at the top of the list of highest-grossing actors at the box office with $1.4 billion, according to Forbes.
