— -- Fans of Jillian Michaels saw the celebrity trainer propose to her longtime girlfriend Heidi Rhoades on last month's season finale of her reality show, "Just Jillian."

Michaels, 42, told ABC News that the two are already battling over wedding plans for their fall nuptials.

"I would like to go to City Hall," she said. "Honest to God, it's put one more thing on the plate. That's why I'm like, 'Why can't we just go to City Hall?' We don't need the cake, and the thing, and the location, and the planner.

"We've been together for seven years! And she would like to invite everybody that she has ever known, and that her parents have ever known, and that she's ever met in her entire life. So yeah, we're working on that right now. We're trying to shorten that out," Michaels added, referring to the guest list.

Although she's known for being a personal trainer and health buff, "The Biggest Loser" alum said her wedding day will be a cheat day when it comes to the menu. Still, her fiancee Rhoades, 35, is planning that, too.

"I've handed it off to her. If I know her though, the cake will be chocolate and peanut butter because that's her thing," Michaels said.

There is one aspect of her wedding day that Michaels won't have to worry about -- fitting into her wedding "outfit."

"I'm not doing anything special to prepare, because I'm always prepared," she quipped. "But no matter what I wear, I plan on being in very good shape."

As for Rhoades' wedding dress, Michaels revealed she was inspired by Angelina Jolie, whose gown and veil featured her children's drawings, when she wed Brad Pitt back in 2014.

"She thinks it'll be cute to allow the 3-year-old and the 6-year-old to have at it," Michaels said, referring to her two children with Rhoades, son Phoenix and daughter Lukensia. "Yeah, I don't. I don't know."

After the wedding, Michaels said she and her soon-to-be wife are thinking of expanding their family through adoption. She previously adopted Lukensia from Haiti.

"We're discussing it," she said. "If in the next few years, our kids get a little more independent [we'll adopt,] because they're so young and when they're that age, they really just need so much of your energy and your time. So possibly! And should we go down that road, we would probably go foster to adopt."

Viewers saw Michaels' home life, which she calls her "real life modern family," on her reality show, "Just Jillian." The entire first season is set to air from the beginning on Xfinity's Watchathon, starting today.

Michaels said watching herself on the episodes has helped her reflect on life.

"We don't have all the answers and we certainly don't handle it all seamlessly, but I think that's part of the bigger lesson that we all need to come to accept right? Even when we can't be perfect, it's still good enough," she said. "We're still lovable."
