— -- Kanye West defended Rob Kardashian after his family learned of his engagement to Blac Chyna from social media.

On Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," West was with wife Kim Kardashian West and her family in Vail when discussion turned to Rob and Chyna's engagement.

"He's the weak link in the bunch and he needs to be cut," sister Khloe Kardashian said. "Let's get a new link."

But West defended the newly engaged couple.

"Both me and Kim have been in situations where we were with someone that all of our friends hated," he said.

"And family," Kardashian West added. "I've definitely been in a situation before where my family hasn't always approved so I know how he must feel and he probably doesn't want to reach out thinking we are being judgmental. So I think maybe I should make the first move."

She then said, "I think I wanna write Rob to put an end to like the beef."

Back in April, Chyna posted photos of her wearing a gigantic 7-carat diamond ring along with the word "YES" three months after the couple began dating.

A month later, the couple confirmed to ABC News that they are expecting their first child together.

Other Sunday's episode of "KUWTK" other members of the family weighed in on the engagement. Here's what each of them had to say:

Khloe Kardashian:

After reading online reports about the engagement, Khloe said, "Why would we congratulate him. No one should congratulate them. That's so desperate and fake of whoever does first, because I know someone is going to break."

Kylie Jenner:

"People are trying to make it this big feud," Kylie Jenner said. "It is what it is. We just want Rob to be happy." Later Jenner added, "I just feel like the world thinks that we care so much and we're making it this huge big deal when we just want Rob to be able to tell us when you do something so big like this."

Kris Jenner

Matriarch Kris Jenner was in shock when she learned of her only son's engagement while out shopping in Vail with a friend. "It was just all over the internet," she told her friend. "He's never even mentioned it to us." She then told her friend that she wasn't going to call her son. "He should have called me," she said. "I didn't do anything to him, except give him an amazing life."

Later Kris said, "To hear that Rob got engaged through social media is a bit disappointing to say the least. He should've told me first or even talked to the family about it or even mentioned it to his sisters. But I had no idea."

Tyga

Chyna's ex, rapper Tyga, who was dating sister Kylie Jenner, also came to the couple's defense. "What are you gonna do?" Tyga asked the Kardashians over lunch. "Nothing you can do. The best thing is to sit back and just let them be. Everything you're going through like, I've been through worse with her, you know?"

He also defended his ex, with whom he has son King Cairo. "She's not a bad person, you know what I mean? She's not a bad person at all."

After news of the engagement broke, Tyga tweeted, "Everybody deserves 2 be happy," and, "It makes me happy to see the mother of my son happy."
