Mariah Carey Announces Her Las Vegas Residency
"It's a new chapter for me and I'm just excited about it," she said.
— -- Mariah Carey has confirmed she's doing a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
The singer revealed the news during a taping of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that will air today.
"I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars," Carey said. "This is a special event for me!"
The show, dubbed "Mariah Carey #1s," will launch May 6, and then run May 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 20, 23 and 24, and July 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25, and 26.
Tickets range from $55 to $250 apiece, and are on sale now: you can purchase them at TheColosseum.com, AXS.com, or by calling 866-320-9763. The shows will fill some of those left vacant by Celine Dion, who put her act on hold.
"It's a new chapter for me and I'm just excited about it," the singer added.
To go along with the show, Carey will release a new edition of her album "#1s," which will feature those hits and newly-recorded music. It will be available later this year.
