Meet the New 'Bachelorette,' Andi Dorfman
The Atlanta lawyer dumped Juan Pablo. Now it's her turn to give out the roses.
March 10, 2014 -- Andi Dorfman knew Juan Pablo Galavis, last season's "Bachelor" star, wasn't her soulmate, but she never lost faith in love.
Now, she's finally getting her big chance to find it. (Well, on TV, anyway!)
Andi has been named the new star of "The Bachelorette."
"I'm speechless. It's so surreal. I went on 'The Bachelor' to find my husband and to find the love of my life," she said. "It definitely gets lonely being single... I'm just looking to find that great love."
5 Reasons Why Andi Dorfman Would Be the Perfect 'Bachelorette'
During her time on "The Bachelor," the 26-year-old assistant district attorney made an effort to get close to Juan Pablo, but after her night in the fantasy suite, she broke up with him. Then, when he told her it was "OK," she snapped at him.
"It's not OK," she said. "I left behind family and friends, a job. I missed a wedding and things. I did that all willingly. I put myself out there, it's not OK. ... You saying it's OK comes off as you not having feelings."
Now, she said she's terrified about the prospect of kicking off nice guys, but she feels good about being the star of the show.
"I'm ready to fall in love," she told Chris Harrison. "I'm ready to meet the man of my dreams."
