— -- While promoting his new film “Ant-Man,” Michael Douglas hasn’t had much time to mourn the death of his mother, actress Diana Douglas Webster, who died on July 4 at age 92 after a bout with cancer.

"I'm still digesting it. It just sort of happened," the actor, 70, told People at his film’s New York premiere Monday night.

“[She had a] wicked sense of humor, very bright," he added.

The first wife of actor Kirk Douglas, Diana starred in more than 80 stage and screen roles.

"I don't know how much she taught about acting,” Douglas said. “She just taught me more about giving it your best shot. She's English and Bermudian, so they have kind of this stiff upper lip and can carry on.”

The star recently told ITV talk show host Lorraine Kelly that he planned to honor his mother’s memory in Bermuda.

"I was raised there with my mother ... and I'll be taking her ashes back to Bermuda soon," he said in the interview.
