— -- Miranda Lambert has lost 20 pounds since last year.

For the singer, a slimmer physique has provided a new sense of confidence.

"When you have to walk out there in front of thousands of people, it does feel good to know that your s***'s not jiggling," she told Marie Claire> "I’m just like anybody else, insecure and scared of looking bad or being criticized."

However, the 31-year-old singer, who was just nominated for four Grammys, doesn't love that she's garnered so much attention for her transformation. The focus on women's bodies, she said, can be too intense.

"I hate it. Why do we care?" she asked. "I want women to love themselves whatever they’ve got going on.”
