In 2004, she married a childhood friend, Wall Street trader Steven Ehrenkranz. The couple divorced four months later, and Uchitel went to Las Vegas.
There she worked the velvet rope lines, seeing to the whims of high-rolling VIPs and encouraging A-list celebrities to visit clubs like Tao, owned by nightclub impresario Jason Strauss.
New York tabloids linked her romantically to Strauss and she was recently reported to be having an affair with another married celebrity, David Boreanaz, star of the Fox show Bones.
When asked about that relationship, Uchitel reportedly said, "I will never kiss and tell!" according to the New York Daily News.
Representatives for Strauss and Boreanaz did not respond to interview requests from ABCNews.com. Uchitel's mother would not comment on her daughter's relationship with Woods or Boreanaz, saying only that her work as club hostess put her in contact with many high-profile celebrities.
"In her business she meets lots of people. She is well respected because she maintains their confidentially. She protects their privacy when they are in the clubs. She is very good at her job."
Uchitel, her mother said, "doesn't talk to me about how she is feeling when her name appears in the papers."
