'Real Housewives' Star Teresa Giudice to Be Released From Prison
Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison for fraud.
— -- Star of the New Jersey version of the "Real Housewives" series, Teresa Giudice, is set to be released from prison this Wednesday, a few months before the scheduled end of her 15-month sentence.
Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison last year after being convicted of fraud along with her husband. Her lawyer told ABC News that Giudice would be released from prison on Wednesday.
"She's looking forward to coming home," Giudice's attorney, James Leonard told ABC News. "She's going to go straight home. She's not going to a halfway house. She's going to get to spend Christmas with her family and get back to her life."
Leonard said she was being released for good behavior and that, "she's not receiving preferential treatment."
Giudice's husband Joe Giudice is scheduled to start his own 41-month sentence starting in March.
