It's official -- Rosie O'Donnell is returning as a host for "The View."

The show tweeted out the news today saying, "ABC confirms Rosie O'Donnell returns as co-host of #TheView w/ moderator Whoopi Goldberg for Season 18."

The host is back after being on the show before from 2006 to 2007. While on the show, she famously clashed with Donald Trump and even some former "View" co-hosts like Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Since leaving "The View," O'Donnell has had her own show on Oprah Winfrey's network "The Rosie Show" and appeared in scripted shows like "Smash" and "Drop Dead Diva."

O'Donnell, 52, is a 5-time Emmy nominee, winning in 1999. She made two appearances on "The View" as a guest in 2014, once in February and later in the year for a reunion show to celebrate the retirement of Barbara Walters.

She will join Whoopi Goldberg as the only other host that is coming back next season.

In addition to Walters' retirement in May, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd both announced last week that they were not coming back either.
