— -- Snoop Dogg can now add tech entrepreneur to his repertoire. The rapper announced his latest endeavor, a marijuana media platform called MerryJane.com, at a tech conference on Monday.

Snoop Dogg described his new digital media business, which is devoted to all things marijuana-related, as “the encyclopedia to the cannabis world.”

Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Broadus Jr., made the announcement at the TechCrunch Disrupt Conference in San Francisco.

According to TechCrunch, Snoop Dogg's site will feature celebrity interviews, news coverage of business and politics surrounding the cannabis industry, and an original show series, in which each episode will focus on a different aspect of marijuana lifestyle.

The website will also serve as an online information hub for marijuana enthusiasts to learn about different types of marijuana as well as connect with the cannabis industry through the site's easy-to-use search engine.

MerryJane.com co-founder Ted Chung said he believed the site will be a huge hit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I think the interest level and the demand is there, it's just about someone coming to the forefront like Snoop, like our other partners — including actor Seth Rogen — and providing the site and media platform that can take cannabis to the next level," Chung said.

The MerryJane website is currently still in beta testing, but will be open to the general public over the next few weeks.
