Late last week, the famed Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, California, was shut down to set up for tonight's event, which will be attended by VIP audiences, including the movie's stars and creators.
The latest installment of the "Star Wars" franchise will be shown in three area theaters: the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Dolby, where the Academy Awards take place, and the El Capitan Theatre. Perhaps most notably, the TCL Chinese Theatre is where the original "Star Wars" premiered in 1977.
Fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars have been camped out since last week.
