Sound Check: Slipknot, New Order

FROGS AND OTHER ANIMALS Les Claypool and his Frog Brigade will release Live Frogs — Set 2 on July 24. Recorded at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall in October 2000, the disc features a full-length cover of Pink Floyd's 1977 classic, Animals. Claypool and his Frogs plan to tour this summer in support of Live Frogs — Set 1, which was released last month.

JAMES MATHUS AND HIS KNOCKDOWN SOCIETY James Mathus of the Squirrel Nut Zippers and his side project, The Knockdown Society, will open dates for the legendary Buddy Guy in New York and Los Angeles in May and June. Mathus performed as a guitarist on Guy's newest album, Sweet Tea. The Knockdown Society will perform songs from its 1997 debut, Songs for Rosetta, as well as material from its upcoming Mammoth album, which will feature performances by Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars. The new disc is slated for a fall release.
