McGregor Goes to War; Graham Meets a Guru

January 31 -- Ewan McGregor will trade in his Scottish accent to play a U.S. soldier in the war drama Black Hawk Down, Ridley Scott's film based on a true story about the longest ground battle in American history since Vietnam.

The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced movie is adapted from the nonfiction novel Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War, by Mark Bowden, which follows the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu during the Somalian Civil War. According to The Hollywood Reporter, McGregor will portray a company clerk named Grimes.

Black Hawk Down also features Tom Sizemore and Pearl Harbor's Josh Hartnett.

Sex MachineThe unlikely pairing of Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei will drive the upcoming comedy The Guru of Sex, about a young Indian immigrant who can't make a living in New York City until he becomes a sexual healer.

Austin Powers go-go girl Graham will portray the guru's lover-muse, while Tomei (What Women Want) guides him through his career explosion, the Reporter notes.

The Guru of Sex was created by Shekhar Kapur who is currently directing Wes Bentley and Kate Hudson in the drama Four Feathers and who will also produce. The film will be lensed by Daisy Mayer (Madeline, Party Girl).
