Eddie Furlong Buckles Down

November 20 -- Things seem to be going Eddie Furlong's way these days. Fresh from an acclaimed performance in the Steve Buscemi film Animal Factory and set to star in Terminator 3, the 23-year-old actor has apparently abandoned the nightlife for the work day.

The New York Post's Page Six column claims Furlong spent the last month cleaning up in a Los Angeles rehab center, noting that when the star showed up at a Manhattan, N.Y., party on Monday, he left sober at 9:30 p.m.

Furlong was the subject of an embarrassing gossip tidbit in September, when the Post ran an item accusing the Terminator 2 star of throwing up in a trendy Manhattan nightspot, where he was allegedly partying with girlfriend Paris Hilton.

"[The Post] said I puked at a bar, which is not true at all," Furlong later told Mr. Showbiz. "No. I never puked at a bar. I've been drunk at a bar. … I've been at a bar, and I've been like, 'Oh God, I'm spinning. I'm drunk and I need to go home.'"

Furlong and Hilton both deny the night ever ended in, uh, gastrointestinal tragedy. "I remember being at a bar and going, 'Oh, I'm drunk,' and walking out. But that's about it," he said.

According to the Post, the young star attended the party at New York's Sunset Studios but didn't touch a drop of booze. One spy told the paper that Furlong "looked great."

"He is not going to bars anymore, and has started a new clean life," another insider told Page Six.

Furlong's rep could not be reached for comment.
