Aug. 17 -- Country music queen Naomi Judd has filed for divorce, accusing husband Larry Strickland of adultery, according to court papers.

[Strickland] is guilty of adultery during the marriage [and] is guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct asrenders further cohabitation unsafe and improper, the divorcepetition said.

The petition further cited irreconcilable differences betweenthe two after 11 years of marriage, and asked that the terms ofa prenuptial agreement be enforced.

Wynonas Manager, TooStrickland, 54, a former backup singer for ElvisPresley, has managed the career of Judds daughter, Wynonna,for the past four years.

He also co-managed the mother-daughter duos reunionearlier this year when Naomi returned from a 10-year hiatus, which was forced by a case of chronic hepatitis.

During Judds break from performing, the red-haired singerwrote several books, opened an upscale Nashville restaurant,and acted in a number of films.

Her 1989 marriage to Strickland was a lavish affair,attracting Nashvilles music business elite. The divorce actioncame as a surprise to many.

When the Judds performed as a mother-daughter act, they wonfour Grammy awards and sold six million records with such hitsas Grandpa, Mama, Hes Crazy and Why Not Me?

It was the second marriage for both Judd and Strickland. The couple had no children together.
