K-Fed Ko'ed

Oct. 17, 2006 — -- K-Fed --also known as Kevin Federline or "Mrs. Britney Spears" to some detractors -- may hope that his debut CD is better received than his debut in a wrestling ring.

On Monday night, Federline appeared on World Wrestling Entertainment's "Raw" program, which was broadcast live from Los Angeles, Calif. He was greeted by a cascade of boos from the audience, and he seemed to bask in the jeers.

Federline, whose rap CD "Playing With Fire" will be released on Oct. 31, played the "heel" (a wrestling term for villain) to the crowd, calling them a bunch of materialistic "posers" and imploring them to give him the "respect I deserve."

Federline, who purportedly was friends with two WWE stars Johnny Nitro and his manager Melina, refused to rap a single from his CD for the crowd. After he insulted the audience, WWE Champion John Cena came out and confronted Federline. Cena insulted K-Fed and questioned his credibility as a hip-hop artist and told him that he would be with Spears if Federline was not around.

"And if K-Fed wasn't around,I'd be the one spearin' Britney," Cena said.

Federline in turn told Cena that he hoped to see him get his butt kicked at WWE's next wrestling pay-per-view event. Cena, who made his film debut in "The Marine" last Friday, then picked up Federline and slammed him to the mat in a move he calls "The FU."

Federline wasn't the only Hollywood celebrity to get beat up in the ring last night. Steve-O and Party Boy of "2: The Movie" also were thrashed by a 348-pound wrestler Samoan wrestler named Umaga. Maybe these guys should find a safer way to promote their projects.
