Feb. 22, 2008 — -- Matthew Fox

Matthew Fox is in the longest and scariest car chase on the big screen since "Bourne Ultimatum." But he left the driving to the stunt guys in "Vantage Point." Matthew confessed to Parade, "I love getting behind the wheel but it was just too intense." Fox also passed on driving in the upcoming "Speed Racer." But he scored with his son, when the child saw his father in his awesome "Racer-X" costume. The kid said, "That's what I want to be at Halloween."

In a way, it sounds as though Fox's roles on "Lost" and in "Speed Racer" have something in common. As Fox puts it, "'Racer-X" is the masked crusader who's sort of the center of darkness and mystery." Then he giggles, "I showed my son the trailer and he asked me to play it over and over again until I just had to stop."

Dennis Quaid

What's it like to put your life on the line for the president? Dennis Quaid found out playing a secret service agent in "Vantage Point." He told Parade, "They're ready to a take a bullet. You have to forget that instinct to duck and eat the sidewalk. You don't think about your wife and kids either." Playing General Hawk in "G.I. Joe" was easier, he said. For, Dennis the biggest challenge was buffing up. He jokes, "Please don't ask me about steroids."

I don't think we have to worry about Dennis getting obsessed with playing the general. "My aide-de-camp [personal assistant] is a Victoria's Secret supermodel, Karolina Kurkova. So how serious can it be?"

Sean Combs

Sean Combs isn't worried about hitting the big four-oh. He told Parade's James Brady, "I'm cool man." But Combs also pointed out that even though he has six children, he has never been engaged, much less married. Now, the rap mogul known as Diddy is taking his act to ABC in the remake of "A Raisin in the Sun." He says, "Even though I'm in it, it made me cry."

I've known Sean from the time he was Puff Daddy, but here's something even I didn't know about the rap mogul, fashion icon and actor: "I used to study tap in Harlem as a kid." So that's where those smooth moves come from.
