— -- Ready to head back to Stars Hollow, Connecticut? Many fans seem to be, ahead of the much anticipated revival, "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," which will be available starting Friday on Netflix.

As the title implies, the reprise of the Amy Sherman-Palladino dramedy centers on the intense mother-daughter bond between Lauren Graham's Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel's Rory Gilmore.

Each episode in the four-part series, which will air in 90-minute installments, is named after a season of the year. It will start with "Winter."

Although "Gilmore Girls" went off the air in May 2007 after seven years, fans are ready to see just what the Gilmore girls are up to now.

Here are some tips before binge-watching this holiday weekend.

The Girls Are Back in Town

The reboot begins in "Winter" and the charming Connecticut town is all lit up with holiday lights. Fans will also see the beloved gazebo, signaling that not much has changed in Stars Hollow. And it doesn't take long for Lorelai and Rory to fall back into their quick-witted banter filled with pop culture references.

Still, Rory is trying to figure out her career after graduating from Yale University, becoming a reporter and covering the presidential campaign trail of then-Senator Barack Obama. And don't forget the wealthy matriarch of the family, Emily Gilmore, played by Kelly Bishop, who is now widowed. For fans that shouldn't be a spoiler since actor Edward Herrmann, who played her husband Richard Gilmore, passed away in 2014.

So Long, Carole King

The songwriter's 1970 song, "Where You Lead (I Will Follow)," is no longer the series' theme song. The song, which Barbra Streisand made a hit, served as the "Gilmore Girls" theme song for seven seasons.

Expect Cameos

It may feel like a high school reunion for viewers as many familiar faces will pop up in the premiere episode. All of Rory's ex boyfriends will return including Jess, Dean and Logan. Rory’s squad also returns, including her bestie Lane, played by Keiko Agena, and Sean Gunn's Kirk. And, of course, after much discussion about whether she would return to the series, Melissa McCarthy will reprise her role as the quirky chef Sookie.

The Diner is Still the Diner

Fans know from previously released trailers that Lorelai is contemplating her relationship with diner owner Luke Danes, played by actor Scott Patterson. In case anyone forgot -- Lorelai and Luke finally gave the audience what it wanted and kissed last season, after Lorelai discovered it was Luke who worked so hard on Rory's going-away party.

Inside the diner, nothing much has changed since Luke is still anti-technology. Remember the "no cell phones" sign? Well in "Winter," he's upgraded to attempting to prevent diners from using his WiFi. Good luck with that Luke!
