Dec. 4, 2010— -- For the second time on GMA's Your Three Words, music by Phish is featured as the soundtrack to your video and photo messages.

Formed more than 25 years ago at the University of Vermont, Phish has endured as one of the most popular touring bands in history, and were even dubbed "the most important band of the 1990s" by Rolling Stone Magazine.

With a catalogue of 23 albums, plus hundreds of licensed live concert recordings available at their LivePhish website, the band has no shortage of listening material for both dedicated fans and casual listeners.

Individual members Trey Anastasio (guitar, vocals), Mike Gordon (bass, vocals), Jon Fishman (drums) and Page McConnell (keyboard) have all been involved with various side projects, and the group even took a hiatus from touring and recording in the early 2000s. But in 2009, Phish officially returned with three reunion shows at Hampton Coliseum in Virginia, and a new album called Joy.

Joy, the band's fifteenth studio album, was produced by Grammy-Award-winning producer Steve Lillywhite. It has been praised for successfully capturing the energy and spirit of their live performances that have endeared them to their many fans over the years.

"There was a lightness in this record," says keyboardist McConnell. "A lot of our issues had been talked through, problems had been addressed, and all our boats were pointed in the same direction."
