Feb. 1, 2011 — -- Zsa Zsa Gabor's health has taken a turn for the worse.

Gabor's publicist announced today that the 93-year-old actress has been readmitted to a Los Angeles hospital because she started spitting up blood and mucous.

John Blanchette told The Associated Press that on Tuesday morning, Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, saw her spitting up blood and called an ambulance to get her to a hospital.

Blanchette also revealed that as recently as Sunday, Gabor didn't recognize her doctor or her husband.

It's the latest in a string of medical setbacks for the iconic star.

On Jan. 14, Gabor was released from Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center a week after doctors amputated most of her right leg.

Gabor broke her hip and had replacement surgery in July. Since then, she has been hospitalized several times for swelling, clots, blood transfusions and last month, the amputation.

Gabor's health has put her legacy in peril. Late last month, von Anhalt put their lavishly decorated Bel-Air mansion on the market for $28 million in an effort to raise money for Gabor's medical bills.

"I just want to settle my wife's debts and keep her comfortable," von Anhalt told the Los Angeles Times.
