Feb. 16, 2007 — -- All this month, the "Good Morning America" anchors are sharing five things they each love. Robin Roberts chose five things that enrich her mind, energize her body and lift her spirit.

1. Getting Behind the Wheel and Motown Tunes

While Sam Champion and Chris Cuomo also had cars on their list of favorite things, Robin kicks things up a notch -- she's got to have Motown on when the top is down. Classic Motown hits like "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" by the Four Tops and driving on an open road remind her of childhood in Gulfport, Miss.

2. Southern Comfort Food

Robin loves Southern comfort food, especially shrimp po' boy sandwiches from one of her favorite hometown restaurants, Pirate's Cove. The original restaurant was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina but the owners, Mike and Dawn Lamarca, were determined to reopen. Thankfully, they're back making mouth-watering sandwiches and whipping up a special po' boy for Robin.

3. Sports and Physical Activity

With her tall, athletic build and former job as a sports anchor, it's no surprise Robin enjoys playing sports. What she really loves is the ability to move her body and be physically active. About five years ago, Robin started taking Pilates, and she loves it. While Pilates makes Robin feel strong, it's also calming and helps her feel centered.

4. KJ, Her Jack Russell Terrier

After a long day, Robin looks forward to getting home and seeing her 9-year-old Jack Russell terrier, KJ. Whether Robin's been away for five minutes, five hours or five days, KJ's always excited when she comes home, and Robin's equally happy.

5. "Streams in the Desert," compiled by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman, Volume 1, Copyright 1925

What Robin loves most is "Streams in the Desert," a book of devotional readings that belonged to her Grandmother Sally. She reads sections from it every morning, especially parts that her grandmother underlined and commented on. Along with her mother and siblings, Robin carries on the tradition started by her grandmother by reading from "Streams in the Desert" every day. For Robin, the book puts life in perspective, gives her inspiration and reminds her of her family.
