After the contest period has ended, a random drawing will be conducted from those eligible entries with all 3 (three) correct responses to the multiple choice questions ("Eligible Entries"). Of these Eligible Entries, 10 (ten) entries will be drawn at random ("Semi-Finalists"). Semi-Finalists with a criminal history or record of civil liability are subject to disqualification in the sole discretion of the judges who shall be selected by the Sponsors. The judges will use publicly available databases to verify whether any of the Semi-Finalists has a criminal history or record of civil liability. The Sponsor reserves the right to replace any disqualified Semi-Finalist with a randomly selected replacement Semi-Finalist from the remaining Eligible Entries, subject to the same database verification process. Once the sponsor has identified up to 10 (ten) qualifying Finalists ("Finalists") from the Semi-Finalist pool, the essays submitted with those Finalists will then be judged on the basis of: the substance of the Entrant's answer to the essay question, creativity, originality and on-air appeal. Decisions of the judges are final as to all Contest-related matters.
Upon satisfaction of all rules and conditions, the 10 (ten) Finalists must be available to speak on the phone and/or Skype with the Sponsors beginning at 3:00 pm ET Monday, December 23, 2013, through Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 9:00 am ET. Finalists must respond to emails and return completed forms from Sponsor within a two hour period or Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify that entry.
Based on the essays, aforementioned judging criteria, and the database verifications, the judges will choose 1 (one) Winner and 2 (two) Runners-up.
In the event of a tie among Finalists, the Entry with the highest scores in the judging category of the substance of the Essay will be declared the Winner ("Winner").
In the event that the Winner is deemed ineligible, fails to comply with contest procedures, is unavailable on the day that the final phase of the contest is to be played on "Good Morning America", or is unable to Skype with "Good Morning America", then the Runner-up with the next highest score in the substance of the Essay will be declared the Winner, time permitting, or Sponsors reserve the right to terminate the contest or a portion thereof at their discretion.
The Winner and 2 (two) Runners-up must be available to do a Skype test with the Sponsors between 5:00 pm ET and 8:00 pm ET on Monday, December 23, 2013, and appear on "Good Morning America" via Skype between 6:00 am and 9:00 am ET on Tuesday, December 24, 2013.
