'Suicide Squad' Star Jai Courtney Reveals Tattoo He Got After Losing Bet to Margot Robbie
“It’s nice and small," Jai Courtney said on "GMA."
— -- The “Suicide Squad” cast are so close, they even have matching “skwad” tattoos. But Jai Courtney, who plays Captain Boomerang in the highly-anticipated film, got his new ink thanks to co-star Margot Robbie.
“I lost a bet to Margot Robbie about a football game back home in Australia, and I had to get a tattoo of the state where she’s from on my wrist,” the actor said on “Good Morning America” today. “It’s nice and small. I’m gonna get it crossed out though, one of these days. There was no rule against that.”
Joel Kinnaman, who plays Rick Flag in the movie, disagreed with him getting rid of the tattoo.
“Nah, c’mon, you gotta keep that,” he said.
As for the casts’ matching tattoos, Kinnaman’s is the largest and was personally tattooed by co-star Will Smith, despite the fact Kinnaman’s wife is a tattoo artist.
“She was laughing,” Kinnaman said of his wife’s reaction. “And everybody else, I mean they were getting these little teeny ones on their feet and I was like, ‘Oh, ok, that’s what we’re doing. Ok I got it. Could have told me that before.’”
"Suicide Squad" hits theaters Aug. 5, and tune into “GMA” on Monday when Courtney and Kinnaman return with the entire Squad.
