Georgia dad getting national attention for taking drastic action to get his teenage daughter to clean her room. So frustrated was he he moved all her stuff into the driveway and now he's speaking out. ABC's Steve osunsami has the story. Reporter: Craig slickenmeyer says he was fed up telling his 17-year-old daughter to clean up her messy room so he says he cleaned house himself moving all her stuff outside with this makeshift sign. Hailey, room moved to driveway. Kleenex time? We're tired of being ignored. I was on my way home from school on the bus and sent me a text message with a picture and I thought he was I had kg at first and when I arrived home I was completely shocked. Reporter: She admits she could have listened more and cleaned up better but points out dad is a soldier and their home isn't the army. We got talking and working through it and decided I would take a better initiative to work on cleaning my room. Reporter: Her father says he's proud of his daughter and wasn't trying to embarrass her, she is an honor student after all. You know, she's a regular teenager, just does her homework and wants to hang out with her friends. Reporter: On Facebook thousands of parents weighing in but most taking notes. More parents should do this instead of being afraid of hurting their feelings and the way he punishes his daughter is his business. End up being a good thing. I'm pretty sure she knows where I'm coming from. Reporter: We were there when she and her family moved her belongings back inside.
